Stealing is stealing. If I pay a photographer, models, hair, makeup and other costs, should a company in Pakistan be able to post MY PICTURES, for knock off products of inferior quality? I am not just talking about making similar designs, but copyright violations.

By the same token, would you say IP is IP if someone in Asia took EE's images and was posting them on a Financial Domination website?

It does not go both ways.

I don't mean to be a downer, and seriously apologize to EE if my posts on this topic are unwelcome since they detract from the fun nature I think of her original post. The aforementioned company is not a nice company, has cost people I know thousands to tens of thousands of legal fees and these costs are either passed on to the consumer, or in some cases, the smaller companies of artisans simply go out of business.

Sorry for the soap box

I think it was very brave of them to give that interview for the ny times.

IP in asia is different from IP in the USA. The internet is a brave new world, and IP is still very uncertain.

I wish all vendors the best of luck in this difficult business time.

Good find, but I cannot lend my support to them. I have personally had run ins with that company and some other Pakistani and Indian ones who like to promote their goods in the US on eBay and their own websites using the catalog pictures and other Intellectual Property of other companies and artisans.
